Description

Mossy and Albert Rook is a story of a friendship that begins when nine-year-old Mossy asks a rook what it is like to fly. Mossy and her parents (and their dog Yogi) have moved away from Mossy's friends, but Mossy soon finds herself on an adventure with a new friend, Albert.

Mossy, so nicknamed because at birth her hair looked more like moss than a baby's hair, is caring, environmentally aware, and brave. She is committed to what she believes which leads her on a journey of discovery and the fantastic.

Part fantasy, part reality, the story's themes are patience, compassion, and courage, as well as learning to understand and care for the natural world and for a species of bird that is often overlooked.
