Of Rhyme And Reason is mainly a light-hearted book of both poetry and drama. Many of the poems are influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic, many are not. Some are very much tongue-in-cheek, yet a few are quite serious. While the world is experiencing suffering, loss and devastation - with all the doom and gloom associated with it - it is very evident that people's ability to smile and laugh is always close to the surface. The myriad of humorous WhatsApp messages circulating during the crisis is ample testament to that.
Puppy Love, a one act drama, completes the book. This play tells the story of an adventurous Thurles man, who decides to test the Government-imposed travel restrictions by driving to Leitrim to collect a pup. He encounters some amusing moments on the journey.
