'From Landlords to Genetics' tells the story of the historical and modern Trant estate at Dovea, Thurles, Co.Tipperary.It covers the physical and historic landscape of the area, the fortunes of the Trant generations from before and during their tenure at Dovea with the final part detailing the modern era of an AI station and genetics business, as well as updates on the refurbishment of the house and it's environs.
Compiled and edited by George Cunningham with significant contributions from other scholars, the book with almost 380 pages and over 600 illustrations is a major contribution to the heritage of Tipperary and to a better understanding of the multi-faceted strands from which the modern Ireland emerged.
