Cyril Meehan retired as a Garda Detective Sergeant in 2013. He was reared in Westport, Co. Mayo but is now currently living and travelling extensively abroad. Cyril spent 30 years in Policing in just about every area within the organisation and left with an unblemished service record. His personnel file has recorded 21 Commissioner Commendations for good police work, a bravery award and the distinction of having saved 7 lives in various dangerous situations he had to contend with over the years. He previously published his phenomenally successful first book "The Ideal Guard" in 2015.
